Tücherrausch/lace-fever

Und hier mal was schönes aus handgesponnenem Garn! Mein Septembertuch

Meinneuestes großes Lace-Teil ist fertig geworden! Und groß ist dabei wörtlich zu nehmen. Meine Windsbraut "Sommerwind" misst stattliche 1 x2,7m!

Wollke7.com
Latest project: "Diagonale"-stole for my Grandma. Yarn: "Linie 164 Java" by OnLine, the pattern can be found on www.wollke7.comIch hab es erstmal provisorisch aufgepinnt, damit man das Muster erkennen kann, eigentlich ist die Abschlusskante gerade und nicht so zipfelig.
I just pinned it to my couch to show the pattern. Actually the edge is meant to be a straight line.

Ich hab das Diagonale fertig! Endlich!

This was a project that really took me a while for several reasons. First, it is huge! (1,90 m /74,8 inches long) Second, I made a bad mistake in the middle of the pattern but realised just some inches later…Because I am a beginner in lace-patterns I didn’t dare to frog it or knit backwards. So I did the next best thing and just started the pattern anew in the next row. If you know where to look, you can spot the mistake but I don’t think it will catch one’s eye immediately. But it didn’t help me to like this piece of work. Actually it was a release to have it finished at last!
But I like it and hope, so will my grandma! ;-)

Finally found a project for my lovely "Hand-dye Effect"-yarn (Regia)! Wonderful colours, comfy to knit
and the pattern is so easy, you can do it without Problem while watching TV.

I really love that yarn! It's super-soft and cosy. Just afraid what happens after washing it... we will see. And the simple pattern allows the colours to turn out really nice.
